Commander
John
Storm RN, hails the 'KoolArctic' British Antarctic survey ship from the
helm of the Elizabeth Swann. John, Dan and Charley, are adjusting to the
sub zero South Pole temperatures, by dressing in warmer gear. John has
always been a fan of the famous explorers: Sir
Ernest Shackleton and Captain
Robert Scott. Unlike Dan and Kitty (John's faithful tabby cat) he
loves the breathtaking scenery and bracing cold air. He never thought
he'd be a naval
attaché for the British Secret Service.

CHAP 12: BUCKLERS HARD - Storm and crew came into the Solent proceeding up the Beaulieu River to Bucklers Hard, chasing the giant prehistoric Insectasaur; King Kong. A cross country expedition into the bracken led Storm some miles from one of the pony corpses toward a wooded area near Worts Gutter (Furzey Lane). Charley struggles to keep up with superhuman John.
"Wait for me John. No, on second thoughts, you go ahead. I'll catch up." She cursed herself for not being fitter. But then, John was no ordinary man. She was fit, almost athletic.
"We are getting closer, the tracks are fresh as a daisy."
"What are we going to do when we find it, oh sporty one?"
"You're right Charley."
Storm decides to play it safe, and calls MI6 for backup, asking them to cordon off the area, but not to fire on the giant insect, wound, and especially not to kill the creature.
"Hal, patch me into Dan, can you call London, MI6, please. Can you ask them to cordon off the area around Worts Gutter and Furzey Lane. Code Yellow. Not a kill mission. A capture mission. Is that clear?"
"You've got it Commander."
"Patch me in if you wouldn't mind Hal."
Hal set up the link. A Secret Service duty officer answered the emergency line.
"Communications Bureau."
"Good evening Comms Bureau. This is Dan Hawk on HMS Elizabeth Swann for Commander Storm. Requesting emergency Code Yellow, cordon of Worts Gutter, near Beaulieu River, north west. Armed, please. Storm in pursuit of giant predator, Sectasaur. Under no circumstances kill the animal. Very valuable specimen. Is that understood. Code Yellow, this is a capture mission?"
"Repeat message please Mr Hawk. Did you say giant Sectasaur."
"Yes Comms. A quite large prehistoric insect from Antarctica. About 4 meters. It's eaten ponies. Not humans."
"Just a moment please." The duty officer checked alerts on his screen, and up came the details, confirming the active status of Commander storm as a secret agent cooperating covert. Not a double "0," but to render all assistance on a priority basis.
"Got it Mr Hawk. Will action; Code Yellow, request verified."
"Thank you Comms, over and out."
Back in the field, John had slowed enough for Charley to catch up a little. The going was relatively easy wooded area, some felling in progress, mildly variable terrain.
"It does not add up Charley."
"No. What do you mean?"
"I mean, King Kong here, was onboard the Atlantic Express for many days, and no crew were killed. Or, we'd have heard about it."
"Maybe it wasn't hungry"
"That's just it. Insects are ravenous during the first few weeks of pupation and thereafter. This animal needs food."
"Well, the Express is a container ship. Maybe it found food."
"Humans were killed on the KoolArctic. But for some reason, not on the Atlantic Express. Yet, ponies have been eaten. No humans. Why?"
"You are just too examining John. It could just be a coincidence."
"I don't believe in coincidences Charley. You know that."
Charley chuckled. She knew that only too well. Neither did she. John was forensic in his analysis. What were they missing.
..
MI6 called in local police and territorial army, being short handed. Those persons on call for emergencies, rushed to surround the area, heavily armed with assault rifles and sidearms, to protect civilians. Fortunately, there was an Army group at the Port of Southampton, reasonably close, but short of reservists. They did though muster at least a dozen soldiers, under the leadership of a seasoned Sergeant (Rhino) Harry Windsor.
Commander Storm and Charley Temple believe the animal has gone out of its way not to kill humans while onboard the Atlantic Express, and not to harm humans on land.
>>> CAT & MOUSE
Suki Hall is a marine biologist and oceanographer, normally, specializing in cetaceans. She is intrigued by the find of previously unknown species in Antarctica. Wondering how they grew so large, and how they survived in the cold.

Following the amazing discovery of a clutch of Sectasaur eggs, Lin Po Chang plots to eliminate the competition
SECTASAUR™ - CHAPTERS (APPROX 5 MINS PER SCENE)
PART 1
CHAPTER
1: US ARKTOS 1838 EXPEDITION -
The ice melts at both poles revealing features on the land not seen for
thousands of years. A converted Frigate, the US Arktos is discovered at the South Pole locked into melting
ice, then freed.
CHAPTER
5: IT'S MURDER ON THE ICE - Several fatal accidents occur in quick succession, then an egg clutch is discovered in a section of a tunnel.
Chang eliminates the remaining opposition. Then nurtures one thawed
egg through a simulated incubation.
PART 2
CHAPTER
8: WHEN DINOSAURS RULED THE EARTH - Confirmed, they
lived when dinosaurs ruled the earth. Dinosaurs starve in volcanic/asteroid
winter. Sectasaurs have higher
tolerance to freezing conditions, eat competition, then hibernate.
Suki Hall hypothesis merit worthy, supported scientific community.
CHAPTER 13: CAT & MOUSE - Storm and Temple play cat and mouse with Sectasaur - when the giant insect came up from behind over the brow of a ravine and knocks Charley nearly unconscious. Storm strikes the creature with an axe, causing partial shock.
PART 3
CHAPTER 14: FIRST AID - Charley and John patch creature's wound with antiseptic and bandages. The giant insect feigns immobility. Understands dialogue between John and Charley is not aggressive or threatening, and marks these two humans down as allies.
CHAPTER 15: SECTASAUR RESCUES JOHN - John panics with axe.
Creature lashed out in reflex throwing John over a ledge. John at the mercy
of creature.
The huge insect puts itself at risk to pull John up to safety. Meanwhile government troops,
Territorial Army reservists are closing in. CHAPTER 19: ATTACK SUBSIDES - John and Charley shout as loud as they can, stopping firing. They reach insect. They raised its feelers, Charley and John take one each, and the trio embraced for a minute, its antennae were limp - there was no reviving it - tears, anger - it was gone. J&C in shock for a moment.
CHAPTER
20: NO REMORSE - John & Charley anger welling up inside, tears
gave way to action. A rhinoceros soldier
is delighted at kill. "Yes," cried the soldier. "Yes," said John,
punching the trigger happy fool out. Up to that point other military thought they had saved
their lives. Chang is devastated at loss.

The artwork is also suitable for use in "Jimmy Watson's Magic Dinobot." A proposed network TV serialization, about boy who saves his paper round money to buy himself a robot for Christmas. Then, when assembled, it come to life, to become his friend. ARTWORK - Somewhat better than the huge ants in "Them," but perhaps not as good as the CGI in Antman. Now a museum exhibit in Sussex, England. The artwork is based on an Australian Bulldog ant.
